Homa is a religious ceremony that involves the use of fire. It is practiced in Hinduism, Buddhism, and even Greco-Roman religions. In Hinduism, the fire is known as Agni and is considered one of the five inert impermanent constituents. It is believed to be a representation of God on earth, and worshipping God through fire is thought to purify one's soul. This is because the internal fire responsible for purifying one's consciousness resonates with the external fire.

Rituals are symbolic practices that serve specific objectives. They gradually instill the desired comprehension within the consciousness and eliminate its conditioning. When an individual with a fractured leg utilizes an assistive device, such as a walking stick or stretcher, until complete recovery, one focuses the mind on rituals while the consciousness undergoes a healing process from its conditioning. Rituals serve as metaphorical walking sticks or stretchers in this context.
